Lack of proper healthcare facilities has prevented lots of tribes from living a better life. ITCT has realizedthe importance of addressing the health issues of the tribal population. Our team works with differentmedical volunteers, who actively take part in the healthcare program for helping the tribes in India. Wehave supplied tribal families with free first-aid kits. Besides, we have organized healthcare seminars tolet the tribes know about different diseases. Thus, we have a mission of educating these tribes to inspirethem in taking care of health. As we have a goal of restoring the health of the tribal community, wedistribute free medicines to the backward section of the society

AMBULANCE  SERVICE

Many tribal living in rural areas are economically weak and thus can't afford proper healthcare services. In case of emergency they can't hire an ambulance as they are dilemma if they pay for the ambulance bill then how they they will pay the doctors fees, medicine bills and diagnosis fees..We are fortunate that ONGC has come forward and donated an ambulance as part of their CSR activities, which is now providing free services to patients in Purulia district of West Bengal, which is a tribal dominated area.The ONGC CSR team from Kolkata visited our project location for need assessment and due diligence before coming to conclusion that there is need of free ambulance service in the rural areas of Purulia. This year on ONGC CSR day they handed over the ambulance to India Tribal Care Trust.

  • MOBILE MEDICAL CAMP

In collaboration with ISKCON , India Tribal CareTrust is running mobile healthcare unit in remote tribal areas of Jhargram, West Bengal. This vehicle is equipped with doctor, compounder and travels to 1 village every days. The doctors diagnoses the patient and prescribes medicines which are distributed for free to the patients.

FIRST-AID KIT DISTRIBUTION

Tribal villages which are located far from towns have no pharmacy for buying medicines for immediateprimary treatment. Tribal People have no access to medicines. India tribal care trust arranged to keepfirst aid kits with basic medicines for tribal villages

SEE THE HEALTH CARE PURPOSE DONATIONS OPTION

It has been observed that there is great lack of health awareness among the tribal people. At manyplaces they are exposed to mosquito bites, polluted water for daily consumption, and unhealthy food toeat. To resolve this problem ITCT arranges health awareness camps at different tribal areas.
